SHADOW SHIPS

Current Project - We are very pleased to have been commissioned by Adur District Council using Section 106 development funds, to create a sculpture for Coronation Green in Shoreham-by-Sea.

Our sculpture Shadow Ships, will feature five ships which have been built in, or have been important to Shoreham through time. These ships would have sailed along the river in front of Coronation Green itself. The sculpture will comprise of five ships mounted on posts, created from reclaimed metal and coloured glass. The ships will cast shadows that sail towards the sea each day as the sun moves across the sky. The sixth ship will be created with children from Buckingham Park School, where we will explore what a ship of the future might look like.

Shadow Ships is a celebration of Shoreham past and present. Each ship will also link to audio recordings of stories from people living and working on the Adur and in Shoreham today.

We are currently fabricating the sculptures and aim to install them at the end of April.
