The Sun is Rising (Feb 2025) was a vehicle launch to be filmed ‘as live’ for a start-up E-mobility company. Sadly they folded only two weeks before the project came to fruition, but we created some incredible art direction for the launch and wanted to share some of the visuals with you here.

The theme was the Phoenix is Rising, and our aim was to create a stunning sunrise throughout the duration of the launch by using clever light effects, the reflections of the warehouse floor to complete the circle of the sun, as well as the use of projections. We were also going to use cut-outs in the projection screen, which then has a second layer behind lit in a contracting colour, creating an effect which was beautiful, clever and memorable.

The vehicle would be silhouetted in front of the sun before its reveal.

It was simple, elegant and original. The project would have been entirely sustainably produced, for instance using natural organic fabric for the projection screen. We created the following:

• Art Direction and set design

• Lighting design and programming

• Launch script, development and storyboard

• Vehicle design and livery

• Full crew to install, film and edit in short turn around time of 4 days.
